Restructuring

Chapter 11 Restructurings
Our restructuring group provides services that focus on assisting clients confronting potential or impending insolvency issues. We work closely with debtors in judicial and non-judicial restructurings and reorganizations as well as with secured and non-secured creditors, boards of directors, equity investors and other stakeholders.

Out-of-Court Restructurings and Recapitalizations
We provide expertise on complex financial restructuring transactions, working with boards of directors, debtors, creditors and creditor committees, employee groups, unions, institutional investors and acquirers.

Distressed Mergers and Acquisitions
When uncertainty exists as to a company's future, we provide pragmatic advice on potential sale options and how to maximize a company's value even during a distressed situation. We often provide counsel on distressed transactions involving a change of control and asset sales under circumstances that involve litigious situations whether in- or out-of-bankruptcy.

Capital-Raising for Distressed Entities
Libra can find capital raising solutions where traditional investment banks have failed. Our team of distressed investment experts offers significant credit, workout and distressed investment experience and an extensive network of institutional investors and market contacts to assist public and private middle-market companies -- either before or after reorganization-to raise the capital they need. Libra specializes in raising capital for "story credits," or companies with unique stories and/or companies that are about to default or have defaulted on debt obligations and may be evaluating bankruptcy protection as an alternative.

Boards of Directors' Financial Counsel
Boards of directors seeking independent counsel on strategic alternatives, business evaluation, fairness opinions and fiduciary responsibility often turn to us for independent advice on complex financial issues.

Advisory Services
Our advisory services focus on devising strategies to maximize shareholder value, including multi-faceted guidance from financial experts who ensure that all capital market remedies are pursued for the benefit of investors, boards, trustees and other company stakeholders. As an effective method for determining a company's position within the marketplace, Libra produces a Critical Analysis Report as a diagnostic tool for establishing a company's financial health, identifying critical issues that should be acted upon by stakeholders.
